Duties
You will determine current and future requirements for ground and aviation fuels and perform inventory management of bulk petroleum products received, stored, issued, and transferred.
You will serve as the central point of contact for exchanging information and resolving problems related to the inventory management and financial accounting of ground and aviation fuels.
You will conduct daily inventory audit to identify inventory variances.
You will notify fuels Officer when inventory variance exceeds allowable tolerance.
changes, disposal of contaminated fuel, spills, volumetric fluctuation, human error, etc.
You will establish Vehicle Identification Link, (VIL) fuel key accounts for customers; when applicable, an ensure that VIL keys are encoded with the appropriate data.
You will compile, import, export, upload, etc., statistical data from source documents and a variety of system reports to reflect inventory status, condition of the fuel distribution system, and planned stock requirements.
Requirements

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license and base driving privileges.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- The incumbent must successfully complete mandatory training related to this position.
- This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- The incumbent may be exposed to aviation fuel fumes since the fuel-testing lab is located in the same building.
Qualifications
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply inventory support through communication and correspondence with customers in maintaining inventory accountability.
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing supply inventory accountability and customer support of needed property through communication and correspondence with customers and management.
