Duties

Performs housekeeping functions such as scrubbing, stripping, waxing, polishing floors, dusting, washing walls and windows. Cleans patients units including "isolation" areas that require application of specific disinfecting procedures. Ability to lift and move objects weighing 40 lbs and occasionally objects weighing over 50 pounds. Cleans all equipment with prescribed quantity or mixture of germicides and detergents to prevent cross infection when work is done in these areas.

Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level.
