Duties
Serves as an Administrative Support Assistant (OA) with responsibility for providing a variety of administrative support functions to management and the Special Commodities Branch.
Acts as the primary control point for access daily to included escorting personnel within secured areas.
Maintains security logs for secured buildings In accordance with established procedures.
Prepares, consolidates, and maintains time and attendance records, overtime records, records of training and other administrative records for the organization.
Utilizes automated systems to produce correspondence, calendars, graphics, reports, records, and forms related to the functions and needs of the organization.
Maintains daily attendance records.
Analyze employee performance through record reviewal to identify trends, discrepancies, and problems; and recommends solutions.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Administrative Support Assistant (Office Automation), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Extracts and compiles data from various automated systems used to track employee production percentages, time on standard percentages, and employee downtime percentages.
Consolidates and converts data into comprehensive formats for correspondence, briefings, and presentations.
Complies with methods and procedures established to properly maintain information systems and spreadsheets and recommends actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness of administrative support functions.
B. Education Substitution: As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. If using education to meet basic qualifications, YOU MUST SUBMIT A TRANSCRIPT as supplemental documentation.
C. Typing Proficiency Requirement: In addition to meeting experience or education requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of the following skills, as appropriate: Must be able to type 40 words per minute.

GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
