About the Position: Serves as an Operations Specialist for the HRC G3 Performs duties to support the synchronization and integration of a myriad of support requirements necessary to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the command.
Duties
Independently develops Operations Orders, Fragmentary Orders, Operations Plans, Standard Operating Procedures, Annual Training Guidance and briefing slides.
Subject matter expert, coordinator, and manager of all external operations requirements.
Serves as a problem solver and action officer.
Prepares and presents written and verbal information and briefings based upon research and analysis of operational issues and data.
Requirements
- This position requires a Secret Clearance.

Specialized experience- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the GS-09 grade level which prepared you to do the work in this job. This is defined as: work such as managing a variety of detailed planning data, reviewing policy guidance, publishing Operational Orders (OPORDS), taskers, exercise plans, executive summaries, and significant activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below.
For GS-11, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:
- Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree or
- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or
- LL.M., if related
Combining Education and Experience: Education and Experience can be combined to qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at GS-11 grade level. To determine if you qualify, take the education you have in excess of a Master's Degree and divide your semester hours by 18 to determine the percentage of education that you meet. Then, take your months of qualifying experience and divide by 12 to determine your percentage of experience. The two percentages must equal at least 100% to qualify.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
