The Utility Systems Operator/Repairer Work Leader is the principle assistant to the Engineering Operations Foreman for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Energy Center. As a working leader, he sets the pace for other employees and works along with them when assigned to the maintenance shift. As a watch stander, he is expected to be among the most knowledgeable of operators and set the example for plant operations.

Duties

Duties to include but not limited to the following: Ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Energy Center. Sets the pace for other employees and works along with them when assigned to the maintenance shift. Provided technical assistance on maintenance in progress Performd periodic checks as to the progress of jobs Develops, implements, and maintains a continuing training program for the Operator/Repairers. Recommends prioritization in the scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance accomplish in a timely manner. Orders parts and supplies needed for performance of preventive and corrective maintenance in a timely manner. Stages the parts and supplies for the maintenance personnel Maintains an adequate inventory of treatment chemicals, testing reagents, and softener salt. Tracks Inventory and forecast usage, ordering in a timely manner. Plans, coordinates, assigns, reviews, and explains the work requirements and projects Prepares estimates of labor and materials needed for the installation or alterations of equipment /systems. Initiates requisitions for supplies and materials necessary for maintenance and new construction.
