You will serve as a PLUMBER in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will locate and tap main lines, set up system routes, place and cut route openings, and place hangers for correct level and slope to make repairs. You will select tools, methods, or techniques to use to carry out plumbing work. You will align pipes, valves, fittings, joints, braces, and supports to control movement, vibration, expansion, and contraction. You will troubleshoot plumbing systems and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Assisting with installing, modifies, repairing new and existing utility, supply and disposal systems and equipment within facility infrastructures (sewage, water, oil and gas distribution systems) in order to locate and tap into main lines, locate system routes, placing and cutting and installing valves and unions, etc.; 2) Reading and interpret blueprints, sketches in order to lay out projects, using proper procedures and operations; 3) Utilizing tools and equipment of the plumbing systems.
