Duties

Serves as primary point of contact within the assigned USASOC Aid Station for all matters relating to medical administration and management. Assists in the preparation and serves as the administrative contact for command and aeromedical inspections. Manages the clinic according to established policies and procedures within Aeromedical, USASOC and Medical Commands. Performs the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting. Makes recommendations for work to be accomplished by administrative personnel; and provides advice or instruction to all personnel on administrative procedures and policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support duties; utilizing office automation systems to accomplish clerical, statistical, and/or data entry tasks; and providing clerical support such as receiving telephone calls and visitors and/or arranging meetings or conferences. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Interpersonal SkillsTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
