About the Position: Incumbent will serve as advisor and consultant on the position classification program including position management considerations to US Army Criminal Investigation Division (USACID) HR, program managers, other management officials, leadership, and supervisors.

Duties

Advise and/or resolve the full range of classification problems which range from recurring through complex and unprecedented. Respond to issues involving problems that require guidance, collaboration, and advice and policy interpretation. Prepare, classify, evaluate, and develop standardized position descriptions (SPDs) to support USACID initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines in all areas of classification including OPM, DoD, DA and USACID. Evaluate known problems, identify impact, direct and indirect, on the total program of new legislation, executive, and regulatory issuances. Provide advice on organizational or position structures to meet mission needs, identifying short- and long-term position requirements, and meeting mission intent.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Position ClassificationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
