As a Business Development Specialist at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (KSCVC), you will be assisting with the implementation, integration, and administration of contractor performance related to the KSCVC. This position is necessary to support the growing number of requirements and activities at the KSCVC.
Duties
Performs contractor surveillance of Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Visitor Complex functional areas assigned by the Contracting Officer (CO)/Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Keeps the COR informed of status and/or issues anticipated with recommended technical course of action.
Reports any noncompliance to the COR for action and resolution.
Facilitates open and effective communication between the concessioner and NASA by documenting findings, analyzing data, and tracking open actions to closure.
Supports daily and weekly on-site KSC Visitor Complex activities with the CO/COR including facility walkdowns, status briefings, and facility projects updates.
Reviews and provides technical analysis to the CO/COR of the concessioner’s monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in accordance with the concession agreement.
Provides onsite event and launch viewing support as assigned by the COR at KSC Visitor Complex locations.
Assists the NASA liaison to the Astronauts Memorial Foundation in providing technical representation to the Space Act Agreements.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
Providing financial and technical oversight of government provided services/reimbursables (including the tracking of quarterly invoices and monthly drawdown statements);
Monitoring concessioner for contract compliance in financial arrangements using with the financial management plan and reports;
Monitoring NASA requests and considerations as defined in the concession agreement and assure effective communication and customer service to applicable stakeholders.
