This is a term appointment position for a Metal Forming Machine Operator located in the Manufacturing Coining Division, which is physically located in Denver, CO. This position temporarily assists with numismatic projects during periods of high coining demands. Includes skills such as packaging, laboring and the adjustment and operation of several different types of high-speed automatic and semiautomatic machines.

Duties

As a METAL FORMING MACHINE OPERATOR, you will: be responsible for monitoring and operating coin presses, packaging equipment, and other production and support machinery associated with the coin manufacturing industry. Monitor operation on presses, observe instrument panels, listen for deviations in normal rhythm and sounds and take appropriate action to prevent mechanical failure. perform maintenance tasks such as cleanup, greasing and oiling of equipment. Continually check the machines to assure that moving parts do not overheat, bind, or jam. Operate or assist in operating various equipment as required by production schedules, e.g. operates upsetting (milling) machines, counting and bagging machines, annealing machines, and coil weighing machines. Perform various operations in the receiving area such as operating forklift trucks and recording shipments.
