This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Transportation and Relocation Section (FNM), Relocation Management Unit (FNMR).
This position(s) primary purpose is to support Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) employees who are relocating to assignments worldwide through the Permanent Change of Station (PCS) program. The Relocation Coordinator completes complicated assignments relocating employees through comprehensive management of sale and purchase of residences.

As a your typical work assignments may include:
Educating and advising employees transferring to a new duty station on relocation incentives program.
Analyzing legislation, regulations pertaining all aspects of the relocation program such as, travel, transportation and real estate.
Participating in forecasting, development, justification and defense, implementation and execution of multi-million-dollar budget required for the relocating programs and operations.
Developing internal control programs, performing periodic evaluations of compliance with the relocation program executions, and implements necessary changes.
Providing recommendations and advice to senior management on all aspects of relocation programs, including interpretation of policies and procedures.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
GS-12: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-11:
1) Processing permanent change of station orders. 2) Serving as the organization point of contact for all relocation entitlements, determinations, interpretations of transportation policies and guidance; 3) Assisting with real estate industry sales and purchases processes, mortgages, and associated financial matters within a Government PCS move or program or direct reimbursement program. 4) Have in-depth working knowledge and direct experience working with appraisals and inspections within the PCS program and/or third party relocation companies.
GS-13: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to a GS-12:
1) Serving as a relocation coordinator tasked with the managing of funds; 2) Evaluating the impact of costs on relocation program resources 3) Interpreting regulations for relocation, transportation allowances, real estate and industry practices to develop solutions to complex issues; 4) Providing advice and assistance to individuals and families within a PCS action regarding relocation incentives and programs. 5) Have in-depth working knowledge and direct experience working with appraisals and inspections within the PCS program and/or third party relocation companies. 6) Direct working experience providing counseling to Federal Employee's on appraisals and inspections related to a PCS move or Guarantee Home Sale Program (GBO). 7) Direct knowledge working within the Federal Travel Regulations and applying them to a PCS move with direct reimbursement or Guarantee Home Sale Program (GBO).
Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
