About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, 310 Mission Support Element located at Indianapolis, Indiana. Duties

Develop budget data that supports logistical requirements of unit supply. Recommend the order of expenditure requests based on unit requirements. Assemble budget reports to determine status of funds. Conduct staff visits to assist with logistical problems and ensure logistical support. Redirect excess equipment based on priorities and training needs. Plan for and direct activities concerned with supply distribution and use of unit equipment. Inspect unit supply and determine need for supply changes to ensure mission readiness. Identify supply problem areas and determine corrective action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing assistance on logistical matters to units located within the organization; providing logistical support in areas of unit supply; managing logistical programs to ensure full utilization of resources; conducting staff visits to provide assistance in unit supply deficiency; developing budget data reports; and determining status of funds. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Advanced Supply Chain Management, Business Law, and Service Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
