About the position: This position will be assigned to the Beale Lanes, Beale AFB, CA. This position is flex, not guaranteed hours and does not receive benefits. This position requires satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical and is expected to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and may pull or push larger assemblies weighing up to 100 pounds.

Duties

Repairs and maintains bowling equipment by installing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment to include automatic pinsetters, automatic ball returns, automatic scorers, foul units, and lane maintenance machines. Conditions, maintains and repairs bowling lanes. Performs general housekeeping tasks to ensure proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety guidelines are maintained. Performs other mechanical and electrical work to bowling facility as time and capabilities permit. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, and occasionally push or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical to include annual audio test.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have previous experience in the maintenance and repair of bowling equipment. Must be able to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and manufacturer's service manuals.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
