About the Position: This position serves as the Division Chief in the G4 Facilities and Logisitics Directorate, in a three-star HQs responsible for providing Command and Control (C2) for four Tier II SES Command Installation Directorates, who in turn provide C2 for 72 US Army Garrisons.
Duties
Serves as the Division lead for new or changed administrative areas.
Provides direct oversight to ensure the adequacy, propriety, and direction of administrative and current operations within one of the eights divisions of the directorate.
Responsible for the planning, organizing, and directing of program and project functions.
Oversees the proper implementation of laws and DOD policies governing general administrative operations.
Develops plans, policies, and objectives in support of the directorate and provides leadership, guidance and coordination for implementation within the division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes serving as a key leader in a higher echelon environment. Providing guidance on funding strategies such as manpower authorizations, environmental management, and or master planning to ensure accomplishment of programs in an efficient and effective manner. Experience providing policy and administrative direction concerning overall program and project management priorities and objectives. Conducting extensive coordination and integration of work within a large variety of external organizations to include other government agencies, academia and/or housing of families. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
