You will serve as a Supply Technician in the Material Control Division, W/C 050 of FRC EAST SITE WILLOW GROVE.

Duties

You will prepare reports, messages and other correspondence on all matters pertaining to the management of the Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL) program. You will review procedures to requisition and follow up the status of equipment on order incompliance with supply procedures. You will conduct a program to keep personnel informed of current local IMRL procedures and finish pertinent information to tenant activities on the acquisition, availability, interchangeability, condition and allowances of equipment. You will prepare and maintain custody control records of Support Equipment (SE) in the Local Asset Management System (LAMS) and initiate actions to update LAMS records in case of inventory changes, losses or gains occurring daily. You will establish procedures and coordinate the annual wall-to-wall or special inventories with tenant commands and other divisions to ensure completion as required and initiate survey action as required to damaged or missing equipment. You will perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS- 07 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience planning work for both military and civilian personnel, setting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work. Experience communicating both orally and written, preparing reports, responding to management inquires and following up on the status of equipment to support various laboratories and repair facilities. Experience reviewing procedures to requisition, providing on the job training, and making recommendations to improve the effectiveness supported activities. .
