About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Duties

Responsible for providing Command, Control, Communications and Computer Information Management (C4IM) customer services support to regional and installation users. Installs hardware and software, maintains network operations, and ensures that inquiries and problems concerning networks, computers, peripherals, and services are expeditiously resolved. Responds to users' requests for assistance in a timely manner and documents all network proponent support via the enterprise REMEDY trouble ticket tool suite and coordinates support actions. Performs various duties to integrate add, move, or change voice, video, and data network equipment and peripherals. Incumbent conducts network analysis and monitoring of the classified/unclassified IT infrastructure/applications. Surveys and evaluates network usage, user incidents/complaints, traffic interruptions or other communication issues, hardware/software capabilities, and other relevant factors to meet C4IM standards. Carries out leadership and management network policy development by recommending, implementing, and network cyber-security compliance.

Requirements

• This position may be designated IAT I as applicable and must be Cybersecurity trained and certified IAW DoD Directive 8570.1-M, AR 25-2 within six months of appointment.

• Required to perform 24 X 7-shift work in support of operational IT related mission/after duty hours on call/emergency requirements.
• In performing above duties, overtime and shift work may be required on short notice to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements.
• Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on an infrequent basis up to 10% of the time.
