You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MIL/OA) for the NROTC UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA.

GS-05: $43,646 - $56,746
GS-06: $48,655 - $63,247
Duties
You will maintain databases containing personal or sensitive information to ensure proper protection and accountability.
You will collaborate with customers to identify and obtain missing personnel documents.
Prepare a variety of lengthy documents or automated reports using office automation software, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, or graphic presentations.
You will create official personnel folders in accordance with regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications
GS-5
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilizing up to date human resources procedures and policies; 2) Utilization of software programs to extract, revise, or sort data and prepare documents; 3) Receiving calls, greeting visitors, responding to routine requests for information.
GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Maintaining filing systems of various records; 2) Entering data into automated database systems; 3) Reviewing documents for completeness and compliance with established guidelines; and 4) Utilizing office automation equipment and software in order to prepare a variety of forms and correspondence.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-05: 1 year at GS-04 or 4 years above High School.
