Duties
As a Financial Analyst, you will:
Review financial budgetary documents, including operating budgets, budget revisions, financial statements, audit reports, requests for payment of HUD assistance, applications for transfer of physical assets and recommends or initiates appropriate action on a timely basis.
Provide advice and assistance to program participants on financial budgetary, accounting and reporting matters to assure that financial management operations are efficient, economical, and financially stable.
Provide extensive field accounting assistance to program participants, including reviewing books of accounts and records, assists in the preparation of required reports and recommending action for improvement or correction of any deficiencies.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Ensuring financial accountability and compliance with federal rules, regulations, laws, and policies as they relate to housing projects assisted or insured by the Office of Multifamily Housing; AND
Reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements, monthly accounting reports, and operating budgets for Multifamily projects; AND
Using financial systems and technology in conducting financial reviews.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
