About the Position: Serves as the senior Information Technology (IT) Specialist and principal staff officer in a United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) Battalion (BN). Provides customer service, technical assistance, and training to the BN staff and subordinate organizations on a variety of IT equipment, software products and non-procedural computer languages and telecommunications on Army Information Systems (AIS) and the DOD Information Network.

Duties

Provide customer service and technical assistance to the BN and subordinate organizations. Test and analyze computer equipment malfunctions and software errors. Perform a variety of telecommunication control functions to ensure compliance with USAREC command policies. Develop and maintain a disaster recovery plan. Adhere to Army cybersecurity and information assurance directives and policies. Secure, defend, and preserve data, networks, net-centric capabilities, and other designated systems. Responsible for the management, utilization and accountability of all voice IT communications and mobile devices. Oversee IT technical assistance and support matters. Develop and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures to identify requirements, provide guidance, and reduce single points of failure during personnel absences. Formulate and maintain training classes and materials for all IT related matters.
