You will serve as a Technician in the Weapons Systems Engineering & Verification Branch; Strike Weapons System Division; Strategic & Computing Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14.
This position is salary capped GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617). See "Additional Information" section.
Duties
You will lead general operations of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS) while leading a small team of testers during test events.
You will analyze and diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronic systems and equipment using the collected data.
You will lead development of test strategies and procedures.
You will operate test hardware associated with the tactical hardware electronic equipment suites and collect and analyze performance data after tests are executed.
You will assist with fleet support exercises, including setting up and verifying electronic hardware configuration prior to events.
You will lead and conduct data analysis of system operations using laboratory data output devices.
You will mentor new employees during data analysis activities.
You will lead a team in collecting data and artifacts in order to compile test inputs and outputs for plan and report generation to provide recommendations to more senior leaders.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting electronics technical work for the development, test & evaluation, integration, or troubleshooting of electronics for combat/weapon systems or Weapon Control Systems (WCS).
