About the Position: This position is with the Army Reserve Medical Command, Equal Opportunity Branch, Human Resources Department, Deputy Chief of Staff, G1, located in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Duties

Process and/or review formal and informal complaints of discrimination or harassment generated within the Command. Manage the Military Equal Opportunity Program in accordance with applicable regulations and policies. Technical advisor and equal opportunity liaison for the Command regarding equal opportunity matters. Gather, organize, and maintain information used to compile and analyze statistical and other data used to evaluate programs. Conducts and/or monitors required equal opportunity training throughout the Command.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a Secret Security clearance to be obtained and maintained.
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
  • Satisfactory completion of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) Equal Opportunity Advisor Course (EOA) within one year of the agreed start date of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: monitoring equal opportunity training, managing equal opportunity programs, and reviewing discrimination or harassment complaints. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources Management and Administration Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
