Duties
The incumbent of this position serves as Supply Technician in the Supply Services Center of the Public Defender Service (PDS) under the supervision of the Program Manager of the Administrative Services Division performing supply work to assist the Supply Services Coordinator (Coordinator) in managing supply operations to support organization operations. In addition, the incumbent serves as a courier for the organization, with responsibility for the collection and delivery of documents, correspondence, mail, and other items requiring special handling.

Assists in the operation of the Supply Service Center by performing a combination of tasks concerned with the receipt, storage and replenishment of a variety of supply items, forms, and publications. Responds to service call for immediate requests. Inspects storage areas and recommends replenishment of items when quantity appears low; reviews requisitions and revises qualities ordered based on the number of items on hand; and recommends substitutions when items are not available.
Contact customers, supply organizations and others to obtain material status information, follow up on urgently required items, and/or expedite delivery of material to work sites.
Conduct physical supply stock inventories and adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, plant, or supply account records.
Provides back-up courier services for the agency, with responsibility for the collection and delivery of a variety of legal documents, mail, and other papers requiring special handling at remote sites using the organization's vehicle. The mail and material involved are usually urgent and important and require prompt and efficient service to facilitate receipt and delivery in and out of the office or to outside buildings or points.
Makes periodic inspections of all photocopying equipment; cleans the glass; replenishes toner; and keeps an adequate supply of photocopy paper and toners on hand. Performs large volume photocopying jobs as requested.
Responds to requests for services or repairs on photocopying equipment and fax machines located in the main PDS building and satellite offices. Monitors and responds to Copier Helpdesk emails.
Retrieves archive boxes from staff in main building and satellite offices.
Assist with preparation for conferences, meeting including set up and breakdown of conference tables, room dividers, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
