About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts and Crafts Center.
Duties
Responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to Arts & Crafts and other facilities managed by Arts & Crafts.
Uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents.
Types correspondence, reports, forms, messages, memoranda, statistical or tabular material, where spacing arrangements are complicated, directly in final format without a rough draft.
Arranges the material in the form necessitated by the nature of the subject matter, the purpose for which it is to be used, the format required by regulations, style manuals, or policy.
Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files.
Performs duties of Records Custodian and ensures files are maintained in accordance with regulations and filed using ERM - electronic records management. Prepares forms pertaining to receiving and purchasing; maintains BPAs and purchase order logs in accordance with established policies and guidance.
Prepares, logs, and hand-carries AF Form 332s through appropriate channels.
Keeps detailed records of all Hazardous materials and tracks from receiving to disposal of records of all aspects of Arts & Crafts, Auto Hobby, and Carwash.
Processes and prepares fund control reports; accounts for monies turned in/deposited by cashiers.
Performs monthly inventory.
Tracks customer's pre-paid orders and does accounting for products used during time-frame items are used.
Operates cash register, collects fees, rings up sales, receives money and makes change, and processes credit card sales.
Ensures accuracy of daily reports, daily profit and loss, mid-month and end-of-month financials in accordance with established guidelines, and ensures supervisor reviews prior to submission.
Maintains the security of cash and sales receipts.
May serve as alternate building custodian for Arts & Crafts.
Prepares work schedules for uncommon tour of duty to include: days, nights, weekends, holidays, and down days.
Prepares paperwork / information for advertisement of activities, programs, and/or trips, and coordinates with supervisor prior to submission.
May operate a government vehicle on or off a military installation.
Responsible for accurate preparation and maintenance of NAF time cards with the exception of incumbent's.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position is a drug testing designated position (TDP). Incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
- Work schedule for uncommon tour of duty to include: days, nights, weekends, holidays, and down days.
- May operate a government vehicle on or off a military installation. Must have valid drivers license and driving record required for pre-employment tasks.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience in responsible clerical or administrative work in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
Must have cash handling experience to include: receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, and use of cash accountability control methods.
Must have arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Must have experience using a computer which included use of different types or software programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Must have skill in dealing with the public.
Must satisfactorily complete National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
Must have a valid driver's license.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
