DUTIES:
Serve as the senior expert logistician in AFNWC for AFPEO/SS and AFPEO/NC3 MILCON facility acquisitions and their related security systems, logistics support equipment/vehicles and life cycle sustainment planning for all nuclear Weapons Generation Facilities and other AFNWC nuclear weapons related MILCON activities.
LCL focal point for AFNWC/PI to plan, manage, coordinate, evaluate, integrate, synchronize, certify, report on and brief MILCON facility program status up to HQ Air Force and in accordance with public laws/directives/policy/guidance.
Effectively plan, manage, monitor and coordinate logistics support to the nuclear MILCON facility program offices with systemic focus on nuclear surety, warfighter requirements, concepts of operation and cost efficiencies.
Develop and coordinate effective Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plans, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), roadmaps and milestones concerning logistics and related economic impacts.
Interactions with internal and external officials and/or customers are usually diplomatic, convincing, professional, and promote effective working relationships.
Effectively provide briefings and keep program participants informed.
Ensure participation and outcomes of special projects result in positive impact(s) on the organization and/or improves quality.
Prepares reports on time, neat and high quality for Air Force senior leaders. Include recommendations, meaningful program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis.

- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; employee must able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.

- Expert knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning acquisition management processes and related LCL initiatives and how they apply to AFPEO/SS and AFPEO/NC3 MILCON facilities.
- Knowledge of safety, security and communications regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
- Skill to lead, plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment.
- Skill to coordinate various aspects of MILCON acquisition and sustainment such as logistics, engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, test, and manufacturing.
- Ability to lead, mentor, motivate, and work well with government and contractor employees.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate orally, in writing and through briefings with technical accuracy.
- A professional degree at the bachelor’s level from an accredited institution is desired. An advanced degree, such as a Masters or a PhD is preferred.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
