This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), Position Description Number D2504000 and is part of the PA 193rd Special Operations Wing, National Guard.

Duties
As a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT), GS-1152-11, you will develop, interpret, and provide program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel. Provide oversight to the budget process, including planning, programming, budgeting, allocation, and funds execution. Lead aircraft maintenance support for operational, exercise, or contingency operations. Evaluate leads and control the Group and subordinate unit training program to ensure combat readiness for unit members and tracks progress via automated training records system and other tools. Direct aircraft maintenance analysis activities for the Maintenance Group. Represent the Maintenance Operations branch, participating in discussions, meetings, and/or serving on panels or committees concerning maintenance policies and procedures. Plan and schedule work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must indicate at least 36 months experience, education or training in computations of cost data on labor and materials, buying materials or reviewing data with respect to man-hours, machine time, materials consumed, etc. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. Experience in supervising subordinate personnel, establishing work priorities, overseeing work in progress.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
