About the Position: This is a Military Technician position is with the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, Human Resources Management, 90 sustainment brigade, located at North Little Rock, Arkansas. Duties

Serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) in an Army Reserve Brigade or equivalent sized unit. Establish criteria to monitor and evaluate program efficiency and effectiveness ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance. Develop innovative variations of existing approaches and methods to resolve complex situations. Provide guidance and advice on military personnel management to subordinate elements within the organization. Provide training and briefings on current and proposed policies for staff within the headquarters and subordinate elements. Coordinate and execute the unit's military personnel management activities.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position requires a Secret Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing technical advice on a wide variety of military human resources management programs such as strength management, personnel readiness, retention, replacement operations, awards, records management, evaluations, accessions, separations, personnel actions and other military human resources management programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). or Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as such as Human Resource Management or Business Administration. or Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Managing Human ResourcesOral CommunicationPersonnel and Human ResourcesProblem SolvingStrategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
