About the Position: The Medical Financial Technician position is located with the 82nd Medical Group, Sheppard AFB, Texas.

Duties
Providing oversight for the Military Health System's three health care cost recovery programs: Third Part Colletions, Medical Services Account, and Medical Affirmative Claims.
Maintain control over collections, accounts receivable and deposits.
Establish procedures to ensure all pay patients and copying charges are identified and billed/collected in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes a wide range of various accounting support related duties or tasks that use different and unrelated processes, procedures, or methods. Analyze financial management programs for trends or abnormalities. Make necessary computations, verifies information, corrects discrepancies, and identifies proper accounts for depositing purposes. The employee must be able to interpret federal statutes and policies to each program situations with minimal guidance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
