You will serve as a Supervisory Realty Specialist in the Asset Management Business Line of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).
Duties
You will exercise administrative and technical supervision over a diverse Real Estate Support Branch/team of three to twelve Realty Specialists with the majority being at the GS-12 level within the Command’s Asset Management Real Estate Division.
You will train, mentor, and coach employees to improve skills.
You will assign work, set priorities, establish deadlines, grant leave; and perform other administrative supervision as required.
You will provide advice and assistance to NAVFAC officials at all levels, to representatives of field activities at all levels (including Commanding Officers and Public Works Officers), and to major Navy and Marine Corps commands.
You will execute contracts/agreements for realty planning, realty acquisition, realty management, realty disposal, title work, and appraisals as required throughout the assigned NAVFAC Southeast geographical area.
You will participate in realty planning for acquisition, in grants, out grants, management, and disposal of interests in real property in coordination with NAVFAC and/or Navy and Marine Corps Major Command Planners.
You will provide assessment of processes and procedures utilized by Real Estate to accomplish work. Provides feedback to AM/Real Estate Division leadership on inefficient or ineffective processes.
You will coordinate workload and delivery schedules with other business and support lines and PWDs in order to maximize integration opportunities.
You will represent the Command as a senior Real Estate professional in meetings and conferences.
You will provide briefings to senior level management within the NAVFAC, as well as to client senior leadership.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field - Facilities Engineering - Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes as determined by site conditions and applicable safety regulations.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Level II Real Estate Contracting Officer (RECO) Warrant within one year of assignment to this position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as1. Candidate must be proficient in Real Estate products and services to include acquisition, management and disposal.2. Candidate must be able to accurately communicate, both written and orally, to convey/express thoughts persuasively and use modes of communication to reinforce message retention.3. Candidate must be proficient in the identification and analysis of problem/issues to generate alternatives solutions and make recommendations that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders
