Qualifications
What are we looking for? A Master's degree (preferred) in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or Behavioral Science or a related field of study AND 2 years of professional experience working with children and/or youth. Education or training focused on Behavior Intervention is required OR. A 4-year degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or Behavioral Science or related field of study AND 3 years of full time experience working with children and/or youth. Education or training focused on Behavior Intervention is required. Knowledge of behavioral theory, disability law, disability services, positive behavioral supports, behavioral intervention plans, crisis intervention and/or mediation, administrative practices and organizational procedures common to child development and/or special education programs. Knowledge of and ability to analyze behavior, interpret psychological assessments, individual education plans, and statistical information, and recommend solutions or appropriate action to improve program efficiency and effectiveness. Knowledge of educational, cognitive and psychometric assessments. Ability to evaluate and implement interrelated automated reporting systems used for childcare management, resource and referral. Skill in oral and written communication is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physicals thereafter, provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease. Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. May be required to obtain a government driver’s license.
