You will serve as a IT Specialist (APPSW) of NAVSAFECOM.

Duties

You will serve as the assistant SharePoint Site Collection Administrator for Naval Safety Command (NAVSAFECOM). You will administer the day-to-day operations of the command SharePoint sites, including architecture, planning, testing, maintaining, and designing the SharePoint portal site collection. You will determine overall portal site design and structure. You will monitor portal site functionality, security, and integrity, troubleshoot and resolve problems. You will review, test, and integrate web pages, collect and analyze web site statistics. You will develop, manage and coordinate all areas of online content that support NAVSAFECOM.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-7) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating mastery knowledge of, and skill in applying, policy and planning concepts/practices and interrelations of multiple IT disciplines. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Creating and maintaining portal structure and hierarchy of organizational areas and sites; 2) Creating user access for internal and external customers; 3) Assisting users in the creation and management of community sites; 4) Assisting users in migrating and loading content from other systems or legacy SharePoint sites; 5) Designing and programming user-friendly SharePoint portal interfaces and structures, ensuring ease of navigation through all websites and user interfaces; 6) Developing and managing all areas of online content that supports an organization; 7) Monitoring, developing and implementing plans, policies, programs, and processes to enhance the value of data and information assets.
