This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The position serves as the Chief of Acquisition Branch, with the responsibility for the acquisition of real property throughout the Savannah District area of responsibility, to include Georgia, North Caroline, South Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Duties
Plan, formulate, and administer the Real Estate Acquisition Program for the District's varied civil works programs, such as feasibility studies, coastal storm risk management projects, environmental restoration projects, and others.
Execute Recruiting leases and supplemental lease agreements along with providing oversight for the District Program Manager for the Joint Forces Recruiting Program.
Plan, coordinate, and accomplish military and civil leasing activities and fee or lesser interest acquisitions as well as applicable elements of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, military using service(s), or other civil agencies requiring leases.
Monitor progress of all real estate acquisition work for projects and activities to ensure schedules are met.

- This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless previously completed.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

For Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-14, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes advising senior leaders and subordinates on policy and processes for Civil Works, Military, and Support for Others real estate services; directing and coordinating real estate services for Civil Works navigation, flood risk management, ecosystem restoration, and multipurpose projects; resolving program and project execution problems related to schedules, budgets, and funding requirements.
