About the Position: This position is with the US Army Cadet Command 3rd Brigade, Northern Michigan University located in Marquette, Michigan

Duties

Implements and/or executes changes to regulations using DA Form 4610-R, Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) and Common Tables of Allowance (CTA) affecting ROTC supply. Utilizes multiple Logistics Information Systems/Accountability Property System of Record to execute, account for the requisition Clothing Bag Items, Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE), expendable/durable and Property Book Items. Monitors all budget expenditures for items such as supplies, laundry, transportation, meals , lodging, equipment, furniture, etc. Accounts for property and manages various classes of supplies at the host and affiliated programs within the task force structure, with delegated signature authority. Receives incoming shipments; verifies items received against shipping documents; signs for receipt of shipment, and, counts/verifies item receipts prior to entering data into automated supply management systems . As Program physical security and ammunition control officer, exercises control over unit arms, ammunition, and equipment. Issues and accounts for small arms and ammunition.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • Position may require 6-12 weeks TDY, approximately 30% of the time in support of USACC Cadet Summer Training, or Cadet Command seminars/classes, and other events as directed.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Special Requirement - May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License with Hazardous Material Endorsement.
  • Incumbency of this position is limited to persons who have not had a conviction of domestic violence under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922).
  • Completion of a Unit Armor Course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • Completion of Contracting Officer’s Representative course may be required. If selected to perform this duty, the Command will ensure the incumbent completes and maintains the Certification Training.
  • This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019, Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions.
  • The duties of this position require heavy lifting of 50 lbs. or more.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience at GS-05 level: One year of specialized experience which includes receipt and storage of supply items, conducting inventories, maintaining physical security of small arms and ammunition, preparing reports to document supply transactions. All others must qualify based on your experience at the GS -06 level, Your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience at the GS-06 level: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with a governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the unique requirements to plan and execute a supply program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05/06).
