You will serve as a Management Assistant (Office Automation) in the Human Resources Office, Administrative Office, Code 1802 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY. Duties

You will serve as a Purchase Card Holder. You will ensure that all credit card requests and procurement requests contain complete and accurate information. You will maintain and track all procurement orders. You will prepare monthly reconciliations and prepare documents for audits. You will transfer money within Navy's Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) System. You will assist the Incentives Awards Administrator and Civilian Morale, Welfare and Recreation Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • You will be required to lift up to 15 pounds in weight.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/07) or pay band (NC-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: (1) Serving as a purchase card holder, preparing procurement requests, and transferring money within the organization; (2) Working with supply personnel and vendors for information on availability and estimates for prices of various equipment, materials, and services; (3) Performing data entry duties, preparing reports and reviewing reports to locate discrepancies; (4) Publicizing award calls, informing callers of required documents, reviewing award packages and recommend changes; and (5) Assisting in event planning.
