You will serve as a USINDOPACOM Combined Communications Interoperability Country Desk Officer (CDO), responsible for the planning and execution of combined communications interoperability forums with select foreign defense forces and partners within the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Duties
You will apply the full range of principle, concepts and methodologies associated with life cycle management projects, to plan and complete assigned workload.
You will develop new methods, approaches, or procedures to complex problems.
You will provide mission-related expert advice and support to supporting and supported activities outside the Command and DOD and coalition partners.
You will coordinate with DoD and non-DoD agencies on matters of mutual technical or security interest.
You will manage a number of projects from the initial design phase to final execution.
You will use judgment, initiative and resourcefulness in researching trends and patterns to deviate from traditional methods and to implement new and improved IT methodology, policies, and procedures.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area IAM level I within 12 months of appointment.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following;
1) Performing a wide range of communications, networks, computers, and communications systems management principles, concepts, techniques, practices, and procedures to enable the incumbent to accomplish integrated information technology (IT) support planning, development, programming, budgeting, and implementation.
2) Utilizing managerial methods and procedures to function as a team leader, including coordinating the efforts of various teams in implementation of agency wide programs.
3) Working through the project management processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects.
4) Communication both orally and verbally to explain/defend status of project, make presentations in public forms and at the general officer level, and provide technical leadership on group projects.
