This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position as Chief of the Management & Disposal Branch provides program oversight for the management, accountability, and utilization of real property interests and the disposal, transfer, exchange or sale of real property for both civil works and military projects.
Duties
Administer the Real Estate Management and Disposal Program for civil works and military programs.
Supervise and oversee the issuance, renewal, or termination of all out-grants.
Administer a continuing inspection effort to mitigate encroachment problems.
Assure proper coordination on leasing activities outside the leasing delegation of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless previously completed.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

For Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-14, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes issuing, managing, and administering out-grants (leases, licenses, easements, and permits); providing review and technical oversight for the disposal of civil and military real property; coordinating the utilization inspection program for civil works and military projects; planning military and civil leasing activities with the other Real Estate Division branches or other civil agencies requiring leases or other temporary interests.
