This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Director of Operational Logistics (DOL), Base Detachment Borinquen Facilities Engineering Department, located in Aguadilla, PR.

Duties

This position serves as an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic at USCG Director of Operational Logistics (DOL), Base Detachment Borinquen Facilities in Aguadilla, PR. Responsible for maintenance, repair, modification, overhaul, and installation of a variety of air conditioning, industrial and domestic refrigeration, heating equipment, hot water and steam boilers of various sizes and types.  

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The position requires a valid state driver's license.
• Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Applicant is required to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
• Must have an HVAC certification from accredited trade school or program.
• Temp appointment NTE one year but may be extended for one additional year.
