You will serve as a MATERIAL EXPEDITER LEADER in the FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.

Duties

You will prepare material requisitions for parts and materials required in support of all production shop work requirements, and ensure completion of vendor services. You will unload incoming shipments using hand tools, pallet jacks, and forklifts. You will receive materials, parts, components and assemblies, and examines items received to verify part number, identity, and quantity with routing documents. You will monitor work progress and check work upon completion for compliance, and take the lead on resolving material and process conflicts. You will assign work and oversee work production to include making adjustments to level loading. and work distribution.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Must obtain and maintain Fork-Lift operating license, class as applicable to local equipment needs.
  • You will be required to work overtime, work other than normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and be available for recall.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Storing and issuing products and supplies; 2) Using automated systems to enter and extract data; 3) Performing inventories of materials/supplies; and 4) Completing forms relating to quantity and stock description of materials.
