This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Conducting site visits to assess existing conditions, evaluate risk factors, and ensure compliance with environmental requirement. Performing field inspection related to the processing of applications or permit violations, and inspection of completed works. Gathering, organizing, and interpreting biological/ecological, public use, or other pertinent information. Reviewing permit applications and supplemental material submitted with application to ensure completeness and clarity of proposed work descriptions. Outlining procedures required to bring nonconforming activities into compliance with permit requirements.

GS-09 Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Identifying, interpreting, and evaluating a variety environmental document; Reviewing permit application documentation for completeness; and Performing field inspection to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).GS- 11 Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Interpreting, evaluating, and managing a variety of regulatory program actions in accordance with established regulations and guidance; explaining regulatory requirements to applicants. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
