You will serve as a Pest Controller in the Environmental Services Branch, Pest Control Section, of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will Inspect pesticide application equipment to determine calibrations and maintenance needed.
You will Comply with environmental laws and regulations when working with chemicals and disposing of toxic and hazardous waste.
You will Perform pest controlling duties in a safe manner to comply with established safety rules and regulations.
You will Apply general and restricted use pesticides to prevent contamination or damage to textiles, foodstuffs, domestic animals, or other wildlife.
You will Recognize the habits, hiding areas, food sources, and evidence of pest presence.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- May be required to become certified in operation of man-lift equipment.
Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Uses masonry boring equipment and structural injectors to gain access to internal or subterranean spaces for such application as termite control; 2) Operates and maintains a variety of hand and power equipment/tools such as fogger mist machines, injection pumps, and hand spraying equipment in applying liquids or powders; 3) Performs pest controlling duties in a safe manner, utilizing safety practices and procedures and complying with established safety rules and regulations. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
