You will serve as a Management Assistant in the Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will analyze data for correctness and trends, make recommendations to the Deputy Site Director on areas requiring attention and report results to management. You will coordinate all official travel, ensuring funding is available for the travel and ensuring travel orders are completed and liquidated within required time frames. You will ensure all administrative and documentation requirements such as training requirements, length of service awards, travel claims and payroll certifications are completed within required time frames. You will maintain internal records such as emergency data etc. on employees, develop a telephone listing for distribution and provide employees' information to management as requested.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Management Assistant experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying data gathering methods and procedures to collect and/or coordinate various types of factual information to identify trends and resolve basic problems related to program operations. I have experience creating automated spreadsheets, graphs and reports to integrate and analyze data. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Produce a wide range of documents, reports, and graphics that require the use of a human resources software application; 2) Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and power point presentations by utilizing a variety of office automation for submittal to requiring organizations; 3) Coordinate all official travel within a variety of office automation software, including human resources applications; 4) Coordinate all training on site and ensure all training requirements are completed within required time frames and; 5) Coordinate submittal of human resources actions such as position changes, promotion recommendations, reassignments, award recommendations, personnel actions, etc. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
