About the Position: The primary purpose of the Medical Support Assistant to assist the Group Practice Manager (GPM) in providing business process management and medical administrative support/oversite to Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) clinic teams. This position coordinates health services management functions in a timely and efficient manner to facilitate continuity of patient care as it relates to access to care.
This position is located at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina.
Duties
Develop strategies to streamline operations and/or facility directives.
Participate in strategic planning for the medical team by performing duties such as, analyzing current and historical data, forecasting future workload, identifying trend and patters of problem areas and identify ways to make corrections.
Serve as the office manager by performing clerical, office automation and administrative support to the medical home.
Serves as a customer service representative for the medical team.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
