You will serve as a Technician in the Systems Security Engineering Branch; Cybersecurity & Fiber Optic Engineering and Operations Division of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14.

Duties

You will serve as a Program Guidance Electronics Engineering Technician subject matter expert. You will work alongside engineers providing programmatic and technical leadership. You will serve as a member of an integrated product team. You will support elements of Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, and Counter Reverse Engineering. You will work with key stakeholders to ensure that program offices are provided with sufficient and appropriate protection to the warfighter and their products. You will identify, champion, and secure future work in alignment with the branch Mission, Vision, Strategic Goals, and Objectives. You will develop Program Protection support strategies and deliverables related to protecting the Critical Program Information in an acquisition program end-item.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade level equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying technical electronics engineering methods to provide integrated product support for Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, and Counter Reverse Engineering efforts.
