About the Position: The person is this position will be responsible for ensuring administrative and logistical support for the Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs and allied health programs encompassing from all three branches of the military. The person will also provide administrative support to visiting senior medical students and trainees.

Duties
Provide direct guidance and oversight to the individual program coordinators of all GME programs through monthly meetings to ensure transparency and communication of new information and updates.
Oversee and coordinate the utilization of all GME classrooms by departments, programs and personnel throughout the MTF, insuring ready access to educational forums for all GME and allied health programs.
Provide accountability for entire GME department through maintenance of the Graduate Medical Education program (GME) timecard entry.
Responsible for in-processing and out-processing of approved trainees.
Responsible for planning, managing, supervising, and/or implementing all aspects of the graduation ceremony for physicians and allied health personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the US Public Health Service.
Maintain and oversee program and trainee database administration and management.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining official training records.
Responsible for coordinating a variety of GME wide educational forums to include the annual GME Open House which attracts medical students representing all three services from medical and osteopathic schools across the country.
Assist in the preparation and/or execution of the annual GME operating budget by providing direct input into justification and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

GS-09
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in utilizing automated systems to coordinate, track and/or consolidate reports regarding training programs; providing guidance on training and/or developmental programs; and planning and/or executing major projects and/or activities in accordance with regulations and directives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, MS in Education, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Leadership and Public Health Management. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated management systems to pull reports and/or track data; providing administrative and logistical support on training and/or developmental programs; coordinating training events throughout an organization; and reviewing and/or recommending changes to command policy, processes and procedures as needed. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, MS in Education, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Leadership and Public Health Management. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
