About the Position: Serves as Museum Technician (General) within the National Mounted Warrior Museum. Performing a full range of duties to include but not limited to professional technical work primarily in museum educational programing.

Duties

Develops and presents education programing for Soldiers, Civilians and the general public under supervision of the Education Staff. Assists researchers and answers inquiries on objects in the collection based on personal knowledge and object research. Works with appropriate conservation staff member to ensure historical materials are maintained. Assists with the development of Army approved social media platforms.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• Must possess a valid civilian driver's license.
• Irregular duty hours, including holidays and weekends, may be required.
• Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Work requires physical effort, with frequent standing, stooping, reaching, walking.

In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
