About the Position: This is a Park Manager, GS-0025-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Operations Division, Capital Regional Office, located in Canyon Lake, TX.

Duties

Serve as the lake manager who plans, coordinates and directs the execution of programs which are subject to numerous problems that are complex and require complicated coordination. Develop and execute the planning and management of natural and man-made resources and the operation and maintenance of all structures, roads and appurtenances. Direct the execution of these responsibilities through subordinate employees who carry out incumbent's direction of the overall project for which they are responsible. Direct the development of the Operational Management Plans(OPM) for management of the projects' natural resources, operation and management of park and recreational facilities and the maintenance of all facilities. Responsible for the overall development and execution of the operations budget. Coordinate with adjacent landowners and all categories of project users to assure that plans are understood and to gain social acceptance. Direct the development and implementation of the Shoreline Management Plan for regulation of private floating facilities and for regulation of the use of project lands by adjacent property owners. Designates hours of park operation, policies for enforcement of Title 36 CFR, and procedures for issuance of special events and permits.
