About the Position: This position is located in the Operations, Planning, and Support, Production Engineering Division, and Test Equipment Maintenance Branch.
Duties
Maintain the operational functions and support of electronic Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems.
Specifies/recommends automated test equipment/software, test measurement and diagnostic equipment, jigs, fixtures, etc. to support and
enhance weapon system and subsystem testing and depot modernization efforts.
Performs as project coordinator or leader with responsibility to monitor Test Program Sets (TPS) development, review priorities, and maintains
reports/production records on progress of contracted projects
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification.
- At the GS-11 grade level, the position requires a COMPTIA (security +) certification at a minimum of 6 month after entrance of duty.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the
duration of employment.
Qualifications
(1) Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
(2) Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year, if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three years.

GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical data to assist in the support of design and maintenance of technical engineering methods and procedures on electronic equipment and systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in technical support in the design, maintenance, and testing and evaluation of technical engineering methods, requirements, and procedures on electronics and test equipment/systems and subsystems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the technical support of the design, maintenance, and testing and evaluating of electronic systems such as the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
GS-10: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the design and testing and evaluating of electronic systems such as Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS); and assisting with the maintenance of ATE systems major components. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in the design, operational, performance, testing and evaluating of electronic systems such as the electronic Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS); maintaining ATE systems major components (digital computer, programmable stimulus and measurement subsystem; memory storage devices and Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE)); and project coordination and leadership to include maintaining reports and updates on projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
