This is not a remote position. Selectee will report to the Wyoming State Office in Cheyenne, WY.

Duties
Reviews documents received to verify acceptability, dollar amounts, and correct method of processing. Person enters data into accounting system and prepares receipts to apply monies to various BLM accounts.
Individual is responsible for reconciliation on several levels-daily reconciliation of collections received and receipted for deposit to a federally approved depository and takes appropriate corrective action(s) if necessary.
Serves as member of the Wyoming Core Team for Billings and Collections. Provides technical guidance and direction to other State and FO personnel. Coordinates with the National Business Center.
Transfers money to other agencies such as Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) and Forest Service (FS) via the IPAC process.

Qualifications

You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the following examples:
Experience with utilizing a computer to include automated accounting systems and standard office applications, sufficient to input a range of standard information or adjustments, understand recurring error reports and take corrective action, and generate a variety of standard reports.
Experience with analyzing and evaluating data to conduct a variety of fiscal reconciliations, reviews, and account adjustments.
Experience reviewing, examining, and verifying, data validity, completeness and accuracy.
Performing fact finding, research, and investigations to identify, analyze and recommend solutions regarding fiscal accounting activity.
As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
