The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership, management, policy, and program expertise for a Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC). The Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) is the Navy's primary agency for the delivery of an array of human services intended to enhance the stability and self-sufficiency of individuals and families, resulting in increased operational readiness.

Duties include but not limited to:
As a representative of the Regional FFSP Program Manager (PM), the incumbent serves as principal advisor to Installation Commanders (IC) on social problems and human service matters related to personal and family adjustment.
Oversees the development, evaluation, coordination, and integration of FFSC services and activities across functional areas and among installation and community agencies.
Plans, develops, directs, supervises, and advises on FFSC programs and services. Directly supervises (or provides oversight for contracted) professional staff including worklife or clinical, educational and/or administrative service providers.
Assigns work based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and staff capabilities.
Organizes, set, and monitors workflow, provides technical and administrative supervision.
Plans, assigns, and directs work through direct contact with staff and regularly scheduled meetings.
Establishes performance standards for subordinates. Addresses potential disciplinary and/or performance issues timely and takes appropriate, corrective action(s) as necessary. Conducts annual performance reviews of staff.
Participates in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of personnel.
Ensures staff receives proper training to fulfill requirements of their positions.

Provides general project oversight for contract personnel, as required.
