The selectee will perform a variety of housekeeping duties in a medical facility environment. The incumbent will operate basic cleaning equipment, specialty tools, cleaning concentrates and solutions, the use of adding fractions to appropriate measurement instructions on a daily basis. The work preformed will be in the support of Safety and Infection Control standards under the supervision of the facility supervisor at the El Reno Indian Clinic.

Duties

Sweeps, mops, scrubs floors, walls and applies wax and polishes floor surfaces. Cleans and maintains powered equipment by cleaning, oiling, or adjusting machines. Collects and transports soiled and contaminated and other bio-hazard materials in accordance with proper disposal procedures. Washes and disinfects all discharges and transfer beds, furniture and other equipment. Gowning-up prior to entry into sterile area for very precise detail cleaning.

WG-2: Follow oral or written instructions and/or work orders; perform janitorial/custodial duties through grounds maintenance such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, cleaning walls, ceilings, restrooms, patient examination rooms and polish fixtures, empty trash receptacles, clean sidewalks and entry way to facility, common area, and the use of attention to detail in all assignments. You may need to lift and move heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds. You may need to stand for prolonged periods on concrete floors. You may need to bend, stoop, walk, stand and climb. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
