Duties

The incumbent's responsibility, first and foremost, is to lead by example, to shape  and  sustain  a  working environment  most  conducive  to  the  successful  performance of those entrusted to his/her leadership and direction; creating a positive atmosphere and culture within the Marine & Family Programs Division and its constituent branches that reflects the pride, professionalism, sense of accomplishment, fulfillment, collaborative engagement, well-being, and wholehearted customer focus of its employees is the incumbent's essential purpose and focus of main effort.

Qualifications

Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in    human services or related field leading to a bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, and four years’ experience  in human services,  social  sciences, or  related field, with four  years of  specialized experience in case management, OR successful completion of a Master's  degree in human  services or related field, from an accredited college or university, and two years of experience in  human  services, social sciences, or related field, with two years of specialized experience in case management, is required.  Must have two years of post-college work related experience specific to domestic violence and child abuse. Must be proficient in the use of computers with experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.  Must successfully complete a criminal history background check.  This is a white collar position where occasional lifting up to 20lbs. may be required.
